I’ve been telling people this. The Boomers are the last generation that remembers living under Jim Crow. I was born in 1969, as a member of the first generation of Americans who have no memory of living like that, for us, the millennials, and Gen Z, Jim Crow is only a story. (Racism won’t be gone but it will take on a slightly different form than what we’re experiencing today.) Harder to fight for an era you don’t remember living through.
