It's really not all that different from the rest of celebrity culture (people who are famous solely because they're famous). I'm not talking about actors, singers, and people with skills, who actually produce something, or have a talent or skill the public pays to watch, but literally people who do nothing at all except clamor for attention because they want it. Only difference is social media has allowed these narcissistic and contentless individuals to run amok, and has moved into politics.
