It can't hurt to ask the universe to intercede on your behalf, but you might get some results by asking your neighbors. Ask multiple people. They can say no, in which case you're right back where you are, and the situation remains unchanged, but there is also the possibility that maybe one person (all it takes is one) will say yes, and agree to help you, especially if you offer some service (like cooking or shopping for them) in return. You cannot do this alone. This is what I mean by collective effort.
