In fact, they get such a huge margin of error that they get the benefit of the doubt even after having been openly caught doing something wrong, like the white man who was caught raping his unconscious victim behind a dumpster or the white guy who ran over six people while drunk and never experienced a single moment of jail time.

We have people arguing online today that trump deserves to never be held accountable for any of the crimes of which he's been accused. When white people commit acts of violence there's always someone waiting to crawl from under the floorboards to justify or excuse their behavior.

When a Black person is on the receiving end of violence these same people can't wait to get online and offer their two cents about why they needed to catch that smoke, because Black people always deserve violation. White men never do.
