In 2017 Terry Crews of Brooklyn 99 confessed he'd been groped by an entertainment executive of some kind at a party in full view of his wife. He talked openly about how it made him feel and the helplessness he felt as a powerful looking Black man who could do nothing about what happened to him lest he be seen as the attacker, and have his entire career destroyed. All he could do to deal with what happened to him was to go public and name the man who did it.

Women believed and supported him.

Men ridiculed him. In fact, Black men were the worst ones, especially the ones who exclaimed that he showed weakness in allowing it to happen.

Although, it is very interesting to note, no one denied that it happened, or said he caused it. These men tried to shame him for his response to it.
