I’m looking at Joss Whedon here, and his movie Serenity! Where all the white people in the movie speak different versions of bad Chinese languages, there’s Chinese and Japanese paraphernalia all over the set design, and costumes (as if there were only two Asian cultures in existence) but there isn’t a single person of ANY Asian descent in the movie, not even walking across a street in the background! This also goes for the tv series the movie is based on!
