I’m a fifty year old Black woman, I already lived through all that the first time, so I don’t need to keep watching movies like this to be informed, and I’m not looking to relive it as a form of entertainment. I remember how I felt at the time, and that has not changed. Movies like this are not made for people like me, but they should still get made for the younger generations, so they can know.
