If you've never heard of the British TV series "Are You Being Served", there's a character on the show named Ms. Slocum, who was well into her 50s and 60s, and every episode she would show up with a new pastel hair color! Pink, Barbie Yellow, Blue, Purple, she was rocking those little colored bouffants for all she was worth, and this was back in the 70s.

Apparently, this was a thing British grandmothers were doing at the time!
