If you hold another human being in captivity and get free labor from them this automatically makes you “not kind”. You ain’t nice!

“I could have stepped on your foot but I didn’t”, does not automatically make someone a nice person one should be grateful for having met.

“ I could have slapped my wife but I’m a nice guy for not doing that”, doesn’t mean that one is not an abuser. It doesn’t make you look good.

There’s no such thing as a “kind” slavemaster.

Those two words are mutually exclusive.
