I'd tell her to watch the movies and still have this conversation with her before she watches them. Film literacy and critical analysis of entertainment is important to have and too many people disregard it's impact and messaging simply because it's entertainment and considered unimportant. She needs to know how to critically evaluate the things she consumes through multiple lenses (feminist, racial, economic). It absolutely will help her in life later on.
