I was never that caught up with Shatner. I was not a fan of his and he was not the reason I watched the series in which he starred some fifty-sixty years ago. I watched the show for Spock and for the ideals which the series (Star Trek) stood.

So, while I am mildly disappointed that he caused so much harm on Twitter, I'm not angry, or even surprised, because I never expected better of him. This isn't the first time he's ever pissed off the Trekdom.

His asshattery is not going to put me off watching the series he was once a part of because there are issues in the show that are so much larger than what an old has-been like him thinks about his fans.
