I think the reason a lot of Black people reacted differently than most white Americans, is because we’ve always had to pay close attention to the things politicians were saying, as that would be an indication that we should be more on our guard, than usual. Not that we weren’t alarmed or traumatized by him, just that many of us also had a very ho-hum, today is Tuesday, attitude about the last four years. We still feel some type of way about him being gone though, and that way is,”Sometimes the trash takes itself out.”
