I thik this is probably more what I meant to say. Black and Brown men had restrictions on their behavior towards white women. They weren't even allowed to look at them too hard less they be killed or entire towns burnt down by the same men who told them they cared so much about them.

These same men sulking and pouting today about not having unfettered access to white women's bodies are the same types that had unfettered access to women of color, back in the day.
