I saw a comment recently from a reader that said he just watched a movie about white guys where the plot was just them living their lives being white guys. Nothing truly remarkable happened in the movie. He asked when do black people get to make those kinds of movies, movies not based on traumatic events, just living our everyday lives (for me the closest thing to that type of movie is Friday, or the tv series Everybody Hates Chris. Most of them are comedies. But it would be nice to get movies where we just examine regular events in our lives, like The Banshees of Inisherin, for example.)
