I really wish people would recognize this as a pattern. They’ve been doing this since the seventies when they demonized feminism. After feminism, came political correctness, and now “wokeness”, a term which has been around at least since the early twentieth century, but remained off their radar until the existence of the internet. They try occasionally to demonize the words diversity and inclusion, but at some point realized that makes them look really bad. But the term “woke” is just vague enough that they can vilify it without actually having to define what it means. These terms, feminism, political correctness, diversity, inclusion, representation, woke, basically all mean the same thing, an admonishment to care about other human beings!
