I really liked this.

I’ve never been a fan of respectability politics, but I support positive depictions of Blackness, because “ratchit” is just not my life experience, and I’m not particularly interested in it. At the same time life is negative enough that I don’t always want that in my entertainment, and I’m getting tired of Black pain and misery as a form of entertainment.
