I loved this!
Thank you!
I already pre-ordered my copy, and I’m ready for it.

There are a handful of e ample of what I call Urban Folk Horror, and Black Folk Horror in movies like The Spell, and Candyman, but I too am tired of the demonization of Voodoun/ Voodoo and other African religions in Horror, which is also why I’m also a Daniel Jose Older fan!

I’ve long thought of a lot of the Horror written by white men as stories about their fears about Death, and their ideas of Death Avatars. And yeah, sometimes you gotta make up your own stuff. That Feather story is right up my alley. There are a handful of Black authors who write UF/F and I hope you become one of its bright lights.

Is there a way you can get Netgalley to host your book? (It’s just another avenue of marketing is all.)
