I liken this to an experience my family once had with a flea infestation after saving a stray dog. It was absolutely miserable until we figured out that the way to get rid of them was to wash and clean everything, everywhere, and then bug bombed the entire house. After which it was like recovering from a major trauma. It was incredibly stress reliving. This must feel something like that.
