I like to think I would have intervened somehow. I know for a fact that I could not have simply stood there, because I've been in that type of situation before, so I'm very familiar with the overwhelming urge to get involved. I also have a background that maybe other people on the train may not have, a long history of doing things I'm terrified of doing.

I tell myself these things, but i don't know for sure.
