I know they're not scared. You know how I know, because these White people often attack the safest Black people wandering in their orbit, people who are wearing job labels, small children, women who are going in or out of their own homes, a group of black people laughing at a lunch table. The kind of people they know for a certainty aren’t going to give them a loud “what for” at the top of their lungs, for bothering them with some White nonsense.
I know they’re not scared, because they never seem to bother approaching groups of young black men and women,wearing hoodies and sneakers, who are out of doors doing such innocuous things as : standing in front of their own neighborhood stores, or talking on street corners, or sitting on building stoops.
These white women know exactly the kinds of black people to approach, so its not about fear. Its about exercising their racial resentment and power.
