I know I'm really starting to hate the term "divisive". Using that term implies some kind of togetherness we all shared, at some point. Or that the way to bring us all together (with them I guess) is for the rest of us to simply shut up.
At what time in US history were all of us together on anything? Was it during enslavement? Jim Crow? During Japanese Internment or Chinese Exclusion? During the Zoot Suit Riots, or the AIDS Crisis?
