I keep saying to people if no one is passing laws against how you live your persona llife than you are not being oppressed. The ones passing the laws are the ones doing the oppressing.

If people can pass laws saying that your history cannot be taught in schools, or you cannot marry the adults you love, or talk about loving them, or get gender affirming care, then you are being oppressed.
