I hope you realize this occurs on both a macro as well as an interpersonal scale. I often call trump supporters, political and social bullies, flying monkeys, too. They're the kind of people who simply parrot whatever they're being told about whatever groups authoritarians are punching down on that week. Theyre job is not think but feel whatever they're told to feel and carry water for the manipulative and ambitious. They can be stampeded in any direction by their leaders.
