I have just gotten into the habit of ignoring and blocking any white man who is “relatively” new to Medium, at this point, and responds to anything I say, especially if I’ve never interacted with them before. I check their profile for bs, and if I detect any, than we don’t associate. Medium has become so infested with obtuse, and/or straight up racist, white people, that if I’m not already interacting with you from long standing, we never will. I don’t care how this makes me sound. I do what I do because I have the privilege and the need (as a Black woman) to carefully curate my interactions online.
