I have gotten the same kinds of disrespect, but it was almost always on the basis of race (I'm Black American) rather than gender (or I should say, a combination of disregard from both angles.)
As a Black woman I get white people (and every other group) making all manner of assumptions about me, my competence, my personal life, knowledge, and skills, almost all of which is based on whatever stereotypes about Black women are trending that decade, and buzzing around in their skulls.
What is unique in this case is that while I experience the exact same disrespect as white women, only white women can make the exact same negative assumptions about me that is made about them, and they will see no irony in what they're doing.
I just want to say that a lot of assumptions based on race and gender are often exactly the same.
