I find that the news, especially television news, is imply a list of one bad thing after another. It explains nothing. Provides no context for anything. Doesn’t tell how you to help the situation, explain why it’s telling what it’s telling, or why there’s a need to know it.

I had to stop watching the news during the trump era. I used to get up in the morning, and first thing, watch the news. I have since gotten rid of cable, and the only news I get is what I actively seek out that day, instead of being presented with a constant list of every horrible thing someone was able to point a camera at…

I don’t need to know about every house fire, shooting, and kidnapping, that occurred in the entire city, simply because the anchors have some footage to show. If I need to know it, I’ll find out.
