I don't understand why these men don't get that they LIVE IN THE HOUSE! It shouldn't be on the wife to give them lists, tell them what needs doing etc. They should know their kid's schools, their teachers, their allergies, and their birthdays.

Cuz here's the thing: When you live in a house and you see something that needs doing, you do it! Right now I noticed my sink in the bathroom is dirty. Imma clean that this evening when I get home. If I go downstairs and see dishes in the sink, I'm going to wash them at the first opportunity. I do these things because I live here and it's part of the upkeep of my home. When you see a job that needs doing in the house, don't wait for your partner to do it. You should just do it, and DO IT CORRECTLY!

So let's be clear here: They want to be the master or in charge of the house, but don't want to take care of the house, or do anything to maintain its upkeep, or it's people, like feeding the pets, bathing the kids, washing the dishes or laundry, or cleaning off a table? They just want to be on charge of all of it. While knowing nothing about its upkeep.
