I don’t know how many people have considered that this kind of thing happens after every almost pandemic, when a lot of employees simply die. It happened after the Black Plague, which completely changed the economic and political system, and then again after the Spanish Flu, which led to some of the Union wars of the early 20th centrury. A large part of the workforce dying off doesn’t seem to be any of the reasons people are looking at for why there are fewer people to work those unsafe jobs….
