I could have highlighted this entire story. ive been saying this. In the real world you wouldn't let someone run up in your personal space and verbally and emotionally abuse you. You at least close a door so they can't keep doing it.

A lot of the arguments about blocking people come from the kind of people who are not on the receiving end of online abuse for their identities. It's very easy for them to say blocking people is bad, and a lot of the kinds of people who engage in wasting one's time online share the identity of the flying monkeys who argue on their behalf.
