I always say that there are two kinds of arguments. People who are trying to win a fight, and those trying to figure out the truth. It helps to keep this idea on the forefront of my mind. People trying to win will say absolutely anything. They’re not interested in the truth. They only want to appear to defeat their opponent. By sticking to truth as my goal, I won’t end up simply joining the troll in a fight.
