I always call that the Highlander Effect, since there can be only one, ONE black person per show! I’m totally off that now. If I see a lone black person in the cast, no friends or family members or anyone else of color, I check out. I’m not interested in watching those lonely souls navigating white people’s nonsense. (Most members of marginalized groups are ALWAYS alone in these types of shows. There’s never more than one of any of them.)
