I also forgot to mention that a lot of the misogyny that white women are experiencing today is about white male rage! There's a point in this entire development where a lot of white women are distancing and decentering white men, and these men are feeling some type of way. Even the mediocre white men (the kind who made no effort at all) were used to having access to the kinds of white women they coveted (and of course a lot of them are mediocre white men who could never procure the type of women they wanted) and they are mad as hell about it.

White men have always been angry, and they used to target all the usual groups who talked back to them, but now they've got white women talking back, calling them out, and making themselves less available to them. So their response to that is the kind of crude and ugly anger they used to only express to everyone else.
