I almost got caught by an Amazon scammer. At the last second I told myself to call my ban kfirst to see if any funds had been withdrawn or denied.

I also always try to keep in mind that companies, no matter how scammy they act in general, have to abide by certain rules. If they took money from your account that means they already have your account information! You dont need to call them and give them the information that they just used to take money out of your account. Its gottne to the point where anyone who is asking me for money online, even if I have done business with them before, I call my bank, or check my credit account to be sure.

It also helps to keep a good tally of things you actually signed up for, so you don't get caught off guard by strange companies asking you to send them money.
