Hi!

It may also be the case they may not consider us primitive. They just don’t care. Just because they have more advanced technology, doesn’t necessarily mean they would think any way at all about the universe, the way we do, assuming they even recognize the existence of the “universe”, in the first place. Or feel any compulsion to go out into it if they did.

It may also be the case that they’re highly intelligent, but mobility may be an issue. They simply can’t come to us, based on what type of life forms they may be (aquatic, heavy gravity, too small, too large, etc.) And once again, that’s if they cared.

(I haven’t read through all 40 of the comments, so don’t know if anyone else posit these ideas. I think you can tell I’ve read waaaay too much science fiction!)
