Fortunately, I have not had that experience, but I totally sympathize. I have met white women that wanted me to be their "bbf" black best friend, while enduring their abuse. Luckily I was canny enough to spot the problem before the relationship became entrenched, or I had other friends who were able to point out that was what the person was trying to do.
