Except for some of the younger generations, perhaps. I’ve found myself collecting lists of movies, with major black characters and heroes, made over twenty years ago, and offering them up to Gen-Z’ers, and a few Millenials, who were maybe too young to see them at the release.

I started doing this because I was looking around for fun movies with black casts, or lead characters, that weren’t about black pain and suffering, or genre films with black leads. What was surprising for me, was how many of these movies, the younger generations have actually seen, so I’ve had to go further and further back, to find these kinds of movies, which has been a lot of fun!

Oh, and I loved Jingle Jangle, and Craig of the Creek is definitely on my watch list!
