Another thing we don't know about or mention aren't just the uprisings but the work slowdowns and even murders that occurred. Some of them burned down the plantations they worked on, some just outright killed their enslavers.

Our educational system won't teach any of this because it's not in line with the general idea that whiteness constantly pushes on us that we need to always be merk and mild and nonviolent.

Since the 80s, after the riots of the sixties and seventies, we've been inundated with messages of the peaceful and forgiving negro who just wants to get along. Any forms of anger are met with gaslighting and lectures about how we need to properly respond to our oppression, especially in movies and on tv.
