Another point: I don’t pay my taxes to the local gangbangers to shoot up my house. I pay money to the police to protect me from them, and when the neighborhood criminals commit whatever they do, they get arrested and sentenced, while the police don’t. On top of that, as a taxpayer, I also pay for the lawsuits that get levied against the police, when they break the law.

It really is a kind of “I know Black people” statement, spoken by people who are thoroughly ignorant of Black life, and don’t (want to) know white people either, or they’d never have their mouths open.

Someone needs to tell these conversational derailers, that it’s very possible to care about more than one thing at a time. I can care about Blacks committing crimes against each other, and the police joining in criminal activity against us, (because they think it’s fun), all at the same time.
