And when it first began, there wasn’t even any weight behind it! It was just individual people saying something sassy about people they didn’t like anymore, or were no longer fans of. It was just a way of marginalized people (specifically Black), saying, in a comedic way, “I don’t know her.”

And then white people got ahold of the term….
