And most importantly they don’t want Black people from outside the community witnessing their bullshit in that courtroom! It’s easier for them to get away with some racist wtf*ckery, with only the Black family members there, because then it’s their word against the family. With Black witnesses from outside the locality it’s harder for them to do what they wanna do without looking all these Black strangers in the eyes. Not that they won’t do it. It’s just harder to do wrong when the people you’re wronging are sitting there, staring directly at them, judging.

White supremacy addled white people have always hated Black people because we’ve been their worst judges, unwilling to forget and forgive their atrocities. As long as we live and remember it’s impossible for them to tell the lies about themselves that they want to tell. The Black community, when we are at our best, hold the memories of their worse behavior just by existing, and Black men are a constant reminder of their lack of exceptionalism!
