And immigrants aren’t the reason why there will be a demographic shift in the first place. Baby Boomer whites are the largest population of Americans, right now, and they are getting old, and not having kids. When these pass off in the next ten to twenty years, that will mostly leave a population of Gen Z young adults, of color, who will just begin to start having kids. No amount of punishing immigrants is going to change that, and there are simply not enough white women willing to become brood mares, to stop that shift in population.

The generation after 2010, which includes my niece and nephew, are now 8 and nine years old, and in ten years, they’ll will be able to vote. I wonder who they’ll be voting for?
