Although, as I've mentioned before, some people don't just believe anything. I've observed that in some situations there are always a great many opportunistic people who WANT to believe certain things, and never bother to do research on anything, because it gives them the chance to express and/or simply be, the worst possible versions of themselves, without accountability.

I call these the "bandwagon" people, or "the kickers". The kind of person who, when they see someone they don't like laying on the ground, they use that moment to get in a swift kick, or throw a rock. For every person who helps the injured person try to get back on their feet, there's always at least one person who will take advantage of what they see is a moment of weakness, and try to harm them further.
