Also notice how these cries of being "trans" alway seem to be heaped on women of color for not being feminine enough. I noticed those white remake ice skaters, gymnasts, and swimmers never get called "masculine! Only those sports that seem to include a lot of women of color, like tennis, and running. (So far, Black gymnasts have managed to avoid this , but they do catch other racial shit, like people talking smack about their hair.)

There was a case where a team of Chinese women runners were getting called transgender because their bodies were, get this! built like runners, with small breasts and slim hips! The white women were wearing exactly the same clothes, but only the Chinese women got called told they look like men!

The idea that some women are transgender seems to be a very selective one seemingly based around race, in that it's easier to "see" it when they're got brown skin, it seems. The gatekeeping surrounding femininity only being the province of petite white women needs to stop.

And while I'm here, can we please get some new uniforms for the gymnasts? I'm a straight woman and even I'm made uncomfortable at audiences staring at the half covered buttcheeks of these teenage girls. Wtf, Olympics? (They shouldn't have to cover up if they don't want to , but c'mon now.)
