A modernized version of this play is the cable TV series Chi-Raq, about a bunch of Black women who go on a sex strike to protest gang violence in their Chicago community. Their motto:

No Peace. No Pu**y!

Guys, there is a template for what y'all wanna do! Whatever you come up with, I'll wager that Black women have already been through it, imagined it, or pulled it off!

See, this is why I like stories written by marginalized people who imagine marginalization in different ways than white people, who can only seem to imagine even worst marginalization than what has, and is already, occurring, only happening to white women in the future, in their speculative narratives.
