What you are experincing my friend is a moment of "Satori"!

Congratulations!!!

You are experiencing an awakening, a moment of enlightenment and I'm so happy when people reach this state of being! In the Zen Buddhist tradition this realization is the first step towards Buddhahood.

I'm always saddened by my friend's and family's inability to let go of certain things, and/or hold tightly to the things which cause them a lot of pain or that they have no real use for. People like that seem excited by unnecessary drama. They keep things going all the time, and hold on to grudges and grievances either because they enjoy them or think it's fun.

When someone I know reaches this point though, this makes me really joyful because that's when I know for sure they have been in this world many many times and have taken a long time to learn this lesson. I tell myself that people who never reach this point are just very young souls, and that some day, they'll get there.
